‘Image Makers, Image Takers: The Essential Guide to Photography by Those in the Know’ by Anne-Celine Jaeger
‘Image Makers, Image Takers: The Essential Guide to Photography by Those in the Know’ was written by Anne-Celine Jaeger. It was published in April 2007 and contains 272 pages. The author has had a keen interest in photography since the age of six, when she visited the International Centre of Photography in New York. Jaeger has since gone on to write for a number of popular publications.
This book is based on the interviews given by prestigious photographs from a variety of different fields, including portrait photography and fashion. A great deal of information has also been derived from sources closely associated with the world of photography, such as curators and publishers. All of this data has been together in a way that explains to readers what photographers were thinking when they took the pictures that they did or what a publisher is looking to find in a particular photograph.
Jaeger does a superb job in providing a great deal of insight into some of the most famous photographs that are around today. The author also takes a look at the different methods the individual photographer used to get the photographs that they did. Branded usb drives are great for storing any photos you want to keep safe.
Unfortunately, not every photograph that is discussed in this book has a visual representation that the reader can reference. While this might be disappointing, there are still many photographs that can be found throughout this interesting book.
